Holiness is at the heart of the mystery of the Church and the vocation to which we are all called. This was stated by the Pope in a meeting with priests and seminarians of the Pontifical Ethiopian College which is located within the Vatican walls. The audience was held to mark 150 years since the death of St. Justin De Jacobis, the missionary and evangelist of that part of Africa, who belonged to the Congregation of St. Vincent de Paul. The Pope said that with foresight, St. Justin realized that attention to a cultural context must be one privileged path on which God's grace would form new generations of Christians.
