The US Department of the Treasury has had a massive advertising campaign in the months leading up to the unveiling of the new $100 bill. The bill is said to be one of the most hi-tech pieces of American currency, said to stump any counterfeiter. According to a report by CNBC, it looks like it stumped the printers of the money too. Thirty percent of the new bills are apparently unusable because of a printing malfunction. The unusable bills cost $120 million to make and are worth $110 billion. These are the first bills that were supposed to feature US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner's signature.
